Christmas must be soon...

Because I've spent the last hour in the garage freezing my butt off getting this mean machine ready!

Christmas Day and the Moseley family are off to shred together... with gears!

Tense your buttocks...

Sorry, struggling to embed this video (on an iPad), but this worth a watch! Clearly this fella is taking the basics a step further...

This is what happens. ...

When Charlie is in charge of the route!  A tiny boys shout of "MUD ATTACK" an increase in speed,  a rapid deceleration and a slow teeter into the mud followed by endless giggles.

A great way to spend a Monday afternoon.

Coed Llandegla

Definitely the highlight of the holiday for me was mountain biking with P and C.

C used his sherpas to get uphill, but motored by himself on the downs :)

So much camping fun has beem had this week.

Highlights to follow,  but canoeing was a definite high spot. Lots of shouts of "Ahoy Pirates!"

Penny-a-mile Ultra Challenge

Rather than beat around the bush I'll cut to the main info, I ran the Mallorca Ultra Trail last Saturday.  It's best you first watch this video.  At the very least you can have a chuckle at my expense.

Then, here's the information you need to know:

1) I'm running three off-road mountain ultramarathons this year, the Mallorca Ultra Trail (40 miles - did it last weekend - you just watched the video), The Ultra-Tour of the Peak District (60 miles - 21st June) and the Ultra-Trail du Mont Blanc (100 miles - 30th August)

2) With a combined distance of 200 miles I'm asking people to consider donating a penny-a-mile to help me fund raise for the charity RP Fighting Blindness (a charity supporting medical research into treatments for a type of eye disease, click here for more info).  A donation of £2 is less than a latte but, with enough peoples help, I think your donation could be part of something much bigger.

Please feel free to forward this onto anyone who might be interested - you never know this could be the next viral email :)

Being a modern-type of bloke you can follow me on Twitter as @LukeMoseley3

Crucially you need to know how to donate.  My JustGiving page is up and waiting for your donation, go on, make its day!

Finally, I know you all give money to charity in lots of different ways.  If this isn't for you, no worries :)

A Slaymaker Special...

We had a great Easter day out with the Slaymakers in Chepstow today.  Charlie loved the castle, especially the medieval toilets, and the grassy hills for biking...

I loved the Mez-special of lasagne with crumble for pud. Mmmmmmmmmmm.

BMX Bandit...

I'm really enjoying doing mini-adventures with Charlie, he's at an age where he can get so much more out of every activity.

On Saturday the sun shone in the morning and we spent a few hours at the BMX track.  I can attest that it's actually very difficult to run round an entire adult size BMX track, while holding onto the collar of a 4-yr old. However, after an hour, and perhaps ten collar-supported laps, he was ready...!

Charlie wants to get faster...

Just like his Dad.

Summer evenings...

...mean outside play.  Spiderman jammers, bubbles and a knights shield.  There can't be a four year old in the world who wouldn't be happy with that combination.

Sunday, 2 March 2014

It was great to spend yesterday evening at the wedding celebration for Slayer & Vicky. Great to catch up with so many old friends, great to have a dance and great to see Paul and Vicky so happy. It was also great to hear how many people check in here, mainly to see how Charlie is getting on. After these prompts I'm going to make more of an effort to post his adventures on here. And in the meantime a rare shot of a stationary/not eating/not pedalling/not muddy Charlie. I was stunned that the activity of cutting (with 'grown up scissors') and painting a series of crowns took up an hour of virtually silent work. Bonus!
For those of you who know Charlie, rest assured there was the inevitable degeneration into painty-messy-gluey stickyness!
