Experiment time...

With my second training race coming up (Llanelli marathon this Sunday) and time ticking to the 100 miler its time to start some radical thinking.

Cue my first foray into pre-exercise high fat diets.

The idea is to have no carbs for 5 days, then gorge yourself on carbs the day before the race. I want to test it as a potential strategy for Julys 100 miler (i need all the help that bonkers 'get round a 100-er' strategies might give me!)

So far (day 1) i can say its boring and i feel tired, but not hungry. Its also really difficult, an insight to my carb-based endurance sport eating habits.

I think tomorrow will be harder!
